Niles Hospital Expansion
On July 28, 2022, Spectrum Health Lakeland celebrated the opening of the French Family Heart Center and the Hunter Foundation Surgery Center in Niles.
Spectrum Health Lakeland is invested in delivering the highest quality of care and creating the best health care experience for each community member seeking health care in Southwest Michigan. The Niles Hospital expansion will enhance the overall patient experience while providing the groundwork for future growth of the heart and vascular, orthopedic, and bariatric services lines.
Phase 1 Orthopedic and Bariatric
- Providers dedicate more time specifically to the bariatric and orthopedic programs
- Creates future growth potential and allows more patients to be treated
- Reduces travel for patients by providing more total joint procedures to be completed in Niles
Phase 2 Cardiovascular
- Construction begins in May and will create 3,760 square feet of new clinical space, including 10 state-of-the art exam rooms
- Relocating heart and vascular services will increase patient convenience, access, and the overall patient experience allowing for a wider range of services offered at one location
